Admittedly, I have a stigma against Wall Street but when propositioned by Agent Skirt Steak (SS) to come down and check out Burger Shoppe – Wall Street, I jumped at the chance.
Upon arrival, the downstairs feeling is that of a 1950’s cross between a greasy spoon diner and a soda pop shoppe you see in old school B&W movies. Moving upstairs is a full bar and tables for you to chill out and hang with friends.
I got the Porterhouse Burger($8), shoe string fries and IPA while Skirt got the Shoppe Sliders, sweet potato fries and an IPA. The Phouse was good, not great and could have been juicer while the Sliders were good, especially the Kahuna which had avocado but of course were just so damn small.
The Final Bite:
In retrospect, I’ll get the Mac-n-cheese burger next time. The bartender said it was the shit and I cant imagine why it wouldn’t be. Overall, no complaints and when you can compliment a burger with a delicious micro brew after a long day, I’ll come back another day.
